Proposal for the complete replacement of ALL Enroute Air Traffic Control Facilities in the USA (The Advanced Automation System.) Over 600 people worked on this proposal for close to a year. I was on the Interim Sector Suite design team (designing the controllers' consoles and workstations). I also had responsibility for the Transition Plan Volume, over 100 pages detailing how exactly we planned to transition from the old to the new system, when it came time to "throw the switch", and how to switch back if there was a problem. (One ATC Center can have several hundred air traffic controllers with separate consoles, and hundreds of landlines and radio links.)

Five Years as a Field Engineer for the TPX-42 Radar Beacon System, supervising over 20 system installations at Air Force Bases, and providing Digital Logic and Radar Beacon System Maintenance Training courses of up to 200-class-hours duration.Then 6 years designing Air Traffic Control Processing and Display Systems, Flight Plan Data Processing Systems, and digital communications networks. On the last project, I was responsible for all system hardware, and system Functional Test for the Yugoslavian ATC system (before the war) - two Enroute Centers and 3 Terminal Control Area systems spread across the entire country, including all data communications. System delivered on time, sold off to a team of 40, with no exceptions and no action items.
