My name is Reed Pegram, originally from Ankeny, Iowa. I attended William Jewell College to get my degree Business Administration and Applied Critical Thought and Inquiry. I also have minors in Economics and Entrepreneurial Leadership. At William Jewell I was a member of the WJC Cardinal Baseball Team as a 5 year contributor. Being a Student-Athlete has given me the opportunity to develop many close relationships and build on quality skills to prepare me for life after college and baseball. There are many things about myself that I take a tremendous amount of pride in, Leadership Skills, Work Ethic, Attention to detail, Competitiveness and my desire to keep learning. I believe that the best skill that I have is the ability to deal with adversity, both as a student and as an athlete when I am faced with adversity and things are not ideal. I am not one to shy away or give up and I learn from my mistakes or what is not working. I am very determined and because of these characteristics that I possess. I returned to Jewell for a 5th year after Covid-19 cancelled our season and I was granted another year of eligibility by the NCAA. Instead of moving on I took the opportunity to build on my skills, add a degree and go out with a strong finish to my college academic and athletic career. While at school I took on part time jobs such as being on work-study for the school and being in charge of facility management, specifically for the baseball field and practice soccer fields on Jewell's campus. I also have worked for Hy-Vee in Liberty over Winter, Summer and Fall break. Making strong impressions on my mangers and co-workers there by being a hard worker and a fast learner who excelled in all phases of the job.
