Appointed to continue leading the efforts to bring VCU LEAD - Leaders Engaging in Advanced Discovery into operation opening August 2015. Although not using the title of "Acting Director," I have been granted the authority act as the director to market the program, create and manage the selection of the first class of students, work with designers to complete the offices, meeting and classroom designs, prepare for the permanent staff search , and develop the initial classes and programs.

Assistant Dean works with faculty and administrators to design, implement and maintain planning and assessment procedures which support the institutional strategic plans and ensures effectiveness at all levels. The Assistant Dean also works works with faculty and administrators regarding policy and procedure development, review and management; serves as an officer in the Student Conduct and Academic Integrity areas including completion of the Student Code of Conduct and a review of the Honor System.The Assistant Dean will coordinate efforts related to student and staff leadership development including the Emerging Leaders program, Student Governance and professional development within the Division.

Serve as a liaison to faculty, staff, and community on issues concerning student organizations.Construction/Renovation: Responsible for the development of the $9.8 million renovationand expansion of the University Student Commons and $5 million renovation of historicHunton Hall (now Hunton Student Center).

Developed innovative web based program for new students. Supervised undergraduate team of design interns, procured software and hardware for production, worked with University departments to develop content.
