10-week internship focused on client transactions, including buy-side M&A, LBO and capital raising, across a variety ofindustries ranging from manufacturing, technology, healthcare and alternative energy.Selected Transactions:$300MM acquisition of a medical device firm:-Built full M&A model using DCF, comparable and precedent transactions, narrowed acquisition targets to 7 candidatesbased on product portfolio, geography, market capitalization and EBITDA, and conducted merger accretion for each target.$50MM leveraged buy-out of a privately held construction services firm in oil and gas industry:-Constructed three-statement model with DCF and LBO valuation, built-in multiple revenue scenarios based on micro/macroeconomic forecasts, and conducted pro-forma analysis with 30% equity investment.

Advised clients on the structure and effectiveness of internal audit and controls, helping drive efficiency and coverage across the organizations’ governance, risk and compliance activities.Selected Projects:-Real-Estate Engagement – Developed custom risk model to ensure client had proper controls and oversight relating to compliance, financial, operational and strategic risk, resulting in client adopting new corporate audit policies and procedures.-Healthcare Engagement – Recommended and implemented process improvements on multiple asset accounts, resulting in new client inventory policies, improved processes for recording inventory, and enhanced client understanding of control deficiencies and risk management.-Utility/Energy Engagement – Identified inefficiencies in internal audit process and recommended process improvements, which led to securing a proposal for an additional $100,000 in new business.
