-conduct refugee status determination in accordance with established norms and standards ,and prepare accurate interview transcripts.-Consistent with existing jurisprudence and agency policy ,prepare reasoned recommendations on whether asylum seekers should be recognized as refugees and if so under which international instruments .-Manage individual within reasonable time-lines as determined by the RSD team leader.-Conduct country of origin research relevant to individual refugee claims as necessary.-Identification and proper referral of vulnerable cases according to standard procedures.-Counsel asylum -seekers and refugees on their rights and obligations .-Complete as required performance appraisal and UNV periodic reports .-Attend and actively participate in regular training sessions and legal standards and aspects of conducting RSD .-Comply with UNHCR Code of Conduct and other rules and regulations pertaining to staff.-Promote the spirit of volunteerism through participation in UNV meetings, activities.
