I am an Internal Audit Professional with over 16 years of experience in diverse business industries in the Maldives. As the Founder and Managing Partner of Coencio LLP, an advisory and consultancy firm, I primarily engage in providing Internal Audit service in the hospitality industry of the Maldives. I am the Chairperson of the State Internal Audit Committee, the supervisory body of internal audit of the state.My interest in research, development of the internal audit profession in the Maldives and my commitment to good governance led to publishing my research on fighting corruption in the public sector through effective internal audit function in the International Journal of Business and Management.I am a Mindset Coach holding credentials as a certified NLP Master Practitioner and Master Coach and a Certified Professional Coach (ICF), and found Mind Haven to provide a safe haven for my coaching clients. I am the Co-Founding President of Enlighten a Mindful Community (EMC) an NGO formed with the desire to build a mindful and resilient community. I completed Master of Accounting and Finance and Master of Business Administration with Distinction, from the University of the West of England (UWE). I am an associate member of Institute of Internal Auditors, Malaysia (IIA Malaysia) and Associate of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), USA. I am currently paving my path to become a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
