CurrentImplementation and evaluation of a community-based national HIV self-testing program for first-time testers and key populations in Canada:- Improved program efficiency and site management by developing standard operating procedures for site engagement, implementing a performance tracking mechanism for real-time project progress, and organizing monthly follow-ups for over 350 frontline and community agencies.- Streamlined core project activities for internal staff, service vendors and community partners, developing standardized process workflows and implementation guidelines to improve communication, and identifying solutions for process improvement with senior leadership.- Evaluated and reported results of the program's real-time impact from November 2022 till date on first-time testers and key populations in formats of reports, presentations, and visuals (static and interactive dashboards, graphs, maps) to senior leadership, Public Health Agency of Canada, and the Community Leadership Committee.- Facilitated knowledge transfer of key findings on pan-Canadian reach and demographic characteristic of first-time testers to community partners, HIV researchers and federal representatives at international and national conferences (International AIDS Conference and Canadian Conference on HIV/AIDS Research), community meetings and public forums.- Supported periodic engagements with an African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) Steering Committee of Black researchers and community-based organizations (Black-led, Black-serving and Black-focused organizations) to gather community-based insights for program improvement.
