• Leads county-level AYP focused programming activities, working in close coordination with service delivery and Health Systems Strengthening components of the USAID Stawisha Pwani project, and working closely with youth organizations to engage them meaningfully in designing and implementation of activities. • Designing and implementing AYP-focused activities on community engagement, communication to support improved services for AYP. • Analyzing county and national budget documents and providing feedback on Health Financing and Policy issues at the county and national level.• Working with youth organizations to design tailored advocacy and communication strategy and action plans, and co-creating compelling and evidence-driven communication products and tools. These includes producing policy briefs and other advocacy materials such as short multi-media videos. • Providing technical assistance to AYP activities, aligning with overall project goals and strategies. • Works with administrative staff to manage logistics for meetings, workshops, and policy dialogues as well as preparing participants materials. • Takes a lead role in carrying out activities including workplan development and implementation, consultant oversight, reporting as well as budget oversight. • Monitors and documents project outcomes and impacts. • Ensuring compliance with USAID Kenya project reporting requirements in a timely and comprehensive manner, in line with project established processes. • Liaising with USAID mission staff to brief donors/partners on project activities and participating in partner-supported conferences and meetings. • Maintains regular internal communications to ensure complementarity and synergy across AYP work within the organization

I am privileged to work at the Institute as a research assistant and my work revolves around research on public finance in Kenya with the aim of influencing gender sensitive budgeting by sectors, collecting and analyzing county and national level budgets, managing county and national level budget data for use with the team, updating the institutes' website with budget material reports writing preparing simplified budget data by use of tables, charts and graphs.

As a volunteer at YOWEP I was involved in the following activities that are run by the organisation; Life Skills and Talent Development. Civic Education,Capacity Building and Mentor ship, Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights, Education on Gender Based Violence, Environmental,Sanitation and Beautification, Young Women Networking and Outreach, Campaign against Drug,Alcohol and Substance abuse. My passion and strength was on activities related to Civic Education,Reproductive Health and Reproductive Rights and Education on Gender Based Violence

Hakijamii is a national human rights organization based in Kenya that works with marginalized groups to support them to claim their economic and socio-cultural rights. Serving as an intern at Hakijamii gave me experience hands on with policy and housing issues. I served under the land, housing and community outreach programme and I was involved in: review of housing policy at the national level and how it impacts at the county, review of budget allocation on housing at the county and conducting analysis on the same, assisted in reviewing laws related to housing, performed administrative duties of the office and went to the field as part of community outreach.

Unbound, formerly the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging, is a nonprofit sponsorship organization headquartered in Kansas City, Kansas. As an intern/staff reliever in the Kenya office my work revolved around updating of beneficiaries’ files, attending monthly Support Mothers Groups meetings, ensuring seamless communication of beneficiaries to their sponsors through letters and photos, issuing monthly benefits to sponsored aged members, conducting home visits to sponsored beneficiaries

The Ministry of East African Community (EAC), Labour and Social Protection was formed as a result of re-organization of Government in May, 2013. The Ministry combined the former Ministry of Labour and part of the former Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Development. The two former ministries have existed in various forms since independence in 1963. As an intern at the Ministry of Labour in the District Social Development I was involved in the following activities; Registration of Community Based Organizations and Self-help groups, Assisted in solving group conflicts, Fieldwork which involved re-certification of older persons and persons with disabilities who are beneficiaries of cash transfers from the government of Kenya.
