• Lead and manage merchandising team to source great product at continuously competitive prices that meet our quality and technical requirements.• Drive the category forward through proactive sourcing and development of new products and new suppliers.• Lead and coach the team in negotiating costs, lead times and MOQs to deliver savings and operating efficiencies.• Weekly reviewing the status with the merchandising and quality team and guiding them.• Communicating with merchandising team and passing all information to the QC team for controlling the quality.• All sampling lies under my control and have to ensure the best samples goes to buyer.• To develop suppliers, sources for the present line of business/products with special focus on quality of garments suitable to the apparel brands.• To build strategic relationship with suppliers for mutual business benefits, service present clientele and to expand our customer base by introducing new clients.• Controlling and monitoring the production and quality process in the factory.• To monitor/coordinate work between various persons reporting to me and create a homogenous team.• Maintaining and adhering to all the processes and protocols of the company.• Follow up with factories/suppliers on all sampling, productions, quality inspections and shipments & preproduction meetings are to be conducted.• Ensure that factory meets all the shipments on time.• Monitoring the supplier base compliance on regular basis.
