I have 20 years’ post graduate experience as a Chartered Physiotherapist and during that time I have developed expertise in clinical, academic and leadership roles. My portfolio career has enabled me to develop advanced clinical skills whilst also developing my expertise in teaching and learning approaches. Research and ongoing personal development has been an integral part of my career. I completed my MSc in Multicultural Issues in Health in 2007 and I am currently enrolled on a part-time PhD which aims to understand the preparedness of pre-registration physiotherapy students to deliver physical activity and exercise prescription in clinical practice. I have extensive experience of working in physiotherapy pre and post-registration education at a number of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), including international provision. This grounding in preparing the future physiotherapy workforce gives me in-depth understanding of the external and institutional drivers that impact on the education and workforce landscape.
