The Spark Center for Autism is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders by providing early intervention based on the principles of applied behavior analysis.At the Spark Center, our primary goal is to increase functional skills and decrease behaviors that negatively impact daily living. We believe that the best outcomes are achieved by tailoring interventions to the individual based on their specific needs. Provide in-home services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other disabilities, using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Utilizing research-based technologies to maximize learning, increase skill acquisition rates, and effectively decrease problem behaviors.

Behavior Management Consultants

Provide behavior consulting services in local Tallahassee area elementary schools, in both regular, VE, and EBD classrooms. Create and implement behavior intervention programs for behavior reduction as well as skill acquisition, conducting FBAs, and creating and conducting preference assessments. Graphing data in various ways. Experience providing training for teachers and paraprofessionals. Conducting one on one therapy for individuals with various disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, using Discrete Trial Training and NET.

Provided aid to athletes during State Summer and Winter games. Performed background checks on coaches and volunteers. Trained employees on coach certification process.

Behavior Analysis Lab

Operated behavioral experiments using laboratory rats and pigeons. Recorded and presented graphical data. Directed a weekly laboratory of undergraduate students in Behavior Analysis.
