In this role, I am responsible for the Dallas Homebuyer Assistance Program (DHAP), managing the Development Portfolio and leading marketing efforts with Development projects. Through these projects, I have compiled and finalized updated Policy and procedures, while monitoring HOME/CDBG/General Fund Expenditures. Leading a team of project managers and project coordinators to complete complex and innovative projects through public and private partnerships which encourage capital improvements.•Build, maintain and establish strategic relationships with City Departments, external partners, Developers and businesses various stakeholders, departments and offices.•Responsible for projects during specific stages of development and actively participates in the direction of projects during other phases of the development process•Provide direction, guidance and supervision to staff, including staff oversight and performance management•Monitor progress and analyzes program effectiveness in meeting department and City objectives•Oversee and prepare Down Payment Assistance budget and monitor expenditures•Develop RFPs, review bids and selection of contractors/developers•Utilize and expend funding for federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds and federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. •Coordinate, prepare and review reports/correspondence with other departments•Manage the portfolio of land development projects consisting of housing construction and infrastructure •Developed current staff to communicate strategic direction, community involvement and vision of the department•Developed Policy and Procedures for HIPP, DHAP and Development for Housing•Participate in community meetings and build one-on-one relationships with residents and community organizations •Represent the department in meetings with elected officials, public and private stakeholders and community meetings•Establish goals, objectives, benchmarks and priorities
