I am a lab professional working in the Geomechanics lab and MicroCT lab. I work in a lab to observe the mechanical properties of rocks and we try to understand how rocks will behave in a well at depth during drilling, depletion, etc. We run multiple tests to understand and observe the various properties of a rock. I am also responsible for developing test procedures based on the needs of the researchers, business unit, or project. I also operate the microCT instruments for multiple groups across the company. Scanning not only rocks, but metals, polymers, and other materials as well. This is used for sample quality control, as well as quantitative analysis.*Publications featuring my work in Geomechanics and/or MicroCT are attached below.I also have extensive experience in sample prep which includes drilling plugs from whole core, and facing the plugs and other sample types. I have also had experience in the Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) labs.

Responsibilities included performing basic transactions for customers such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and acting as a customer service rep.

Responsibilities included performing CAT scans of cores and core plugs, core-plug encapsulation, cutting plugs from conventional cores, slabbing cores, preparing plugs for further analysis, performing gas detection procedures, and many other projects.

Responsibilities included washing down drill cuttings to extract the foraminifera. Also worked on a project that compared and contrasted two X-Ray Fluorescence instruments.

Responsibilities included giving campus tours to prospective students. When there were no tours, perform the basic duties of a sudent assistant for the Admissions office.
