Emergency Management (Em) Trainer And Consultant
CurrentProviding the direct coordination and execution of training and consulting to Federal, State, tribal, and local first responders/receivers in public health and healthcare disasters or CBRNE events that requires a Federal response, as a result of a mass casualty incident (MCI). Act as subject matter expert (SME) in public health and healthcare (PH/HC) course curriculum/training materials (CC/TM) design, development and delivery; updates, revisions and corrections, as required. Participate in meetings/focus groups and discussions of course/training program opportunities to maximize instructor cadre and course offerings to ensure overall capability and capacity within the PH/HC communities, are effectively utilized and managed. Perform day-to-day liaison duties for multiple external training partners, i.e., Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), and the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office’s (DNDO), when required.Act as agency's POC in collaboration with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) and the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO). Prepare, coordinate and deliver Execution Plans (ExPlans) for external training partners/agencies with agreements/contracts to deliver training at the Center for Domestic Preparedness’ (CDP) campus.Anticipate customer service needs, encourage teamwork and cooperation and effect coordination to ensure the technical and tactical accuracy of external partner’s course/training delivery.Provide SME, training, drill and exercise support for the Hospital Emergency Response Training Institute's Medical Mass Casualty Incident Management (MMCIM) and Certified Instructor Training (CIT) programs for emergency preparedness and response professionals.Manage HC programs through planning, communicating, and initiating direct oversight of training program design, development and delivery.Participate in the conduct of drills and exercises to improve and strengthen organization's emergency preparedness and response operations.
