From founding refugee family tracing system Refugees United in 2006 alongside my brother Christopher, we have successfully pushed the concept from a take-on-the-world-from-the-kitchen uproar to a global entity assisting refugees in tracing missing family members across the world. Currently, the organization is helping in excess of 1.100.000 refugees in their search for missing family.With on-ground operations, in partnership with Red Cross, UNHCR etc., in Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, DRC and Somalia, we're pushing ahead to help the hundreds of thousands of families still searching.Refugees United is funded entirely through foundations such as the IKEA Foundation, The Omidyar Network, Danfoss Foundation, the AP Moller Foundation (Maersk,) Kirk Foundation, H&M Foundation, Swedish Postcode Foundation and Lauritzen Foundation, as well as private sector partnerships with corporations such as Delta Partners, Ericsson, FedEx, SAP, Google Grants, 3, free basics by Facebook, Palantir, etc....helping us reach our goals through their expertise.Refugees United has created partnerships with a string of mobile operators in the MENA region, East & central Africa, allowing us to reach tens of millions of people with information on how to access our services, free of charge, to be helped to find information on the missing.
