Provider of emergency medical support to onsite seismic operations personnel within PNG.

Ambulance Paramedic working with a PNG Doctor-Surgeon on seismic sites in remote areas of PNG for several weeks duration, with access to two helicopters, and providing medical support for 100-150 workers formed into work crews of 10-12 men clearing survey lines of 50km-150km total length in rainforest with chainsaws, and with such crews later drilling holes for explosive shot-firing to produce seismic pictures for mineral exploration. As paramedic I am responsible for managing medical supplies including Dangerous Drugs, re-stocking PNG Field Medic's kits, ensuring first-aid training, clean water and hygiene standards are met by all personnel at base camp and in the field, and providing Emergency Medical Treatment and coordinating Medical Evacuation flights to/from Port Moresby or Queensland hospitals as required, in consultation with the PNG Doctor, the Base Camp manager and the pilot and crew of the medical evacuation flight.
