While working at AFI, my occupation was creating mainly B2B content for the Turkish Exporters Assembly, a governmental organisation for foreign trade. The aim was to promote Turkey abroad through the campaign Turkey, Discover The Potential (became today "Ask Türkiye") via (social) media.

Why am I adding this experience here? Because it contributed to building my professional identity. Four years is quite something! And to be honest, I really enjoyed. It is the most consistent occupation I had while living in Istanbul. Just like anyone moving abroad right after university, I needed an alimentary extra job and that is how I met with Victor. Not the fanciest, coolest story but that is just what it is. I started teaching French this way, and met an incredible amount of interesting people. In time, it became more than teaching. We started thinking strategically with Victor, coming up with new working hours and people management tools, marketing initiatives, social media presence, etc. And guess what? Today, we're youtube super stars, with videos seen up to 150K times, completely organically. Youtube comments are actually the first place where someone proposed me!

While moving to Istanbul, my original project was a journalistic one. I knew cafebabel used to have an Istanbul based team that hadn't been active for some time.I took on me to rebuild the cafebabel istanbul project, supervising a team of contributors. Our goal was to talk about life in Turkey to people living in Europe with our local point of view: - establishing a content strategy - drafting meetings - coordination with main office in Paris- brand awareness events

I've been a French speaking person in a French speaking Turkish school for a year. It basically consisted in never speaking Turkish, forcing immersion and making students understand that learning French would actually be useful to them in life, because French-speaking-only people did exist. Also involved taking a lot of pictures and singing. But you don't want to hear me singing.

My main occupation at Youth-Agenda was drafting projects that would increase European Awareness, within the scope of the Erasmus+ Program and international youth exchanges. My project M.O.V.E was successfully granted 15K euros by the European Union and thanks to that funding, Youth-Agenda was able to host 3 international volunteers for a total duration of two years. The aim was to have them discover Turkey from the inside and go back home with an increased European Awareness. One volunteer was from Belgium (founding member of EU), Greece (EU member at the time in crisis) and Croatia (new EU member). I was also in charge of the interns and volunteers' onboarding and program once they would be working with us.

This job started as an internship and became a part-time occupation during my masters degree of Press and Information. I was a member of the online news team. As one could easily imagine, I was monitoring the news, writing articles, interviewing relevant actors, posting on social networks and, every now and then, in charge of managing the home page content.
