As the Public Relations Supervisor for Viking Fusion, I am responsible for the promotion of Viking Fusion and for the scheduling of specific Viking Fusion sponsored events. Head Residents (HRs) are student staff members in the Department of Residence Life who live in an assigned residence hall. The HR is an individual who has displayed exceptional capabilities and leadership skills as an experienced Resident Assistant. The HR acts as a resource and leader for the entire RA staff but especially to their assigned area staff. HRs provide assistance, advice and support to individual staff members and will work together to promote unity and motivation for the entire RA staff. Broadly, the HR serves as a liaison between the RAs and the professional staff. Head Residents report directly to the Director and the Assistant Director of Residence Life.

The Camps and Conferences Assistant (CCAs) position is a student work position fulfilled by rising Head Residents during the summer. CCA’s assist camps and visiting groups that reside in the residence halls during the summer. CCA’s perform a broad range of tasks including preparing preliminary and final invoices, managing distribution and collection of keys, scheduling reservations, and fulfilling maintenance requests.

Resident Assistants (RAs) are student staff members in the Office of Residence Life who live on a wing or floor in each residence hall. The RA is an integral member of the Residence Life staff as they have the most direct and constant student contact and therefore serve as a communication link between the residents of the floor and the Office of Residence Life. Broadly, RAs are responsible for fostering individual and community development and promoting residents’ academic and personal growth.
