Oversaw planning and allocation of multiple test teams in US, Canada, China and India. Focus on Data Warehouse features such as query processing, security, compression, availability and ingestion functionalities. Compiled and presented weekly status and defect reports to senior management. Championed the use of social media tools and micro-blogging which improved the communication and information sharing across QA teams. Worked with multiple product QA teams within IBM to leverage test assets and expertise resulting in decreased testing cost.pureXML Testing Manager – Led testing effort for first implementation of XML support in DB2 for LUW version 9.x. Managed international team of test engineers. Defined the overall strategy and approach for the integration of XML and SQL functionalities. Led over 50 testers performing QA on XML storage, XQuery processing, database utilities, SQL/XML integration functionalities. Worked closely with development and set the framework/processes of how we managed functional testing for future releases of DB2.System Testing Manager – Managed system test activities for DB2 for LUW version 8.x. Setup environment and lab infrastructure for Beaverton site. Improved test process and development environment with pilot of configuration (Rational ClearCase) and defect management (Rational ClearQuest) tools.

Software QA Manager – Managed QA activities for Informix Massively Parallel Database System (XPS). Wrote the quality plan for major and maintenance releases. Managed test engineers and coordinated test activities such as interoperability, tools and customer application testing. Communicated progress and release status with senior management team through development activity and GA readiness. Defined the strategy and execution for the quality metrics and defect management process. Software QA Engineer – Developed test on Unix with SQL, Perl, C languages. Executed functional/regression testing for the Informix XPS Parallel database system from version 8.1 and up. Wrote test design, plan and specifications. Performed problem determination and identified code defects.

Member of the software test team working on the development of a parallel RDBMS engine. The engine was developed in C++ for the VxWorks RealTime O.S. running on Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) hardware. Defined and implemented software test life cycle.
