Richard J. Regentin specializes in applying leading edge business recovery methodologies to develop disaster recovery plans for clients. He has developed plans to recover business areas, LANs, AS/400, RISC/6000, Intel and large complex platforms. Working in over a hundred engagements, he has experience in various industries including banking, insurance, manufacturing, health care and government. During his 38 years in the information technology field, he has successfully managed numerous projects. EXPERIENCE/ACCOMPLISHMENTS-Completed a Business Impact Analysis for the State of West Virginia. The analysis reviewed the impact of the computer loss on all the state agencies. -Led a Business Impact Analysis for an eight billion dollar manufacturing company. -Working with a bank in South America, Mr. Regentin led the development of the I/S Recovery Plan to insure the bank could recover the critical business applications in the event of a disaster. -Developed an I/S Recovery Plan for a state government's Department of Human Resources. The plan required the restoration of service for a network of over 4,000 terminals. -Developed a total Business Recovery Plan for a manufacturing company. The plan defines the activities required so the company can deliver seamless service to its customers. This plan included such areas as the mailroom, order entry, credit, production planning, and other business functions required for the business to continue to operate.AWARDS/RECOGNITIONThe Disaster Recovery Institute and IBM have recognized him as a Certified Disaster Recovery Planner. EDUCATION/TECHNICAL BACKGROUNDHe has attended several IBM Business Recovery, project management, and consulting courses.
