Currently serving as Qualia General Counsel - an exciting, scrappy technology start-up with visions of digitally transforming the real estate industry. I love working at a small company that has cool technology and is passionate about empowering its customer. My time a Qualia has been my most enjoyable start-up experience by far. Previously, Chief Legal, Privacy and Compliance Officer at DocuSign. ("DOCU") Lots of opportunities and challenges taking DocuSign public with the second most successful SaaS IPO of 2018. Prior to that, served as General Counsel at Zynga for 4 years. ("ZNGA") Learned the true passion of the online gaming community. At the time we went public, it was the third largest tech IPO in Silicon Valley. Nine (“9”) interesting years at Yahoo! during the birth and mass consumption and commercialization of the Internet. Associate GC of litigation - so I got to see all the fun, and pushing and shoving during that phenomenal time. Learned what it meant to be a lawyer at Hancock Rothert Bunshoft (now known as Duane Morris) - or as our name partner Barry Bunshaft would say “he raise me from an egg...”. Rick Seabolt did most of my training and who I give most credit for mentoring me to join the partnership. Ten (“10”) wonderful years at HRB. Between jobs at DocuSign and Zynga; my wife Rebecca and I took our four boys out of school and backpacked around the world. Incredible experience that really brought our family together with cool memories and stories. I really enjoy solving hard problems with smart people in fast and efficient ways that support the growth and success of business. It has been amazing to be part of growing Private Companies to Public Companies. Very proud of the fact that 16 of the sisters and brothers that have worked for me over the years have gone on to be General Counsels at other companies.
