Responsible for managing the relationship with our customers, global business partners, as well internal stakeholders for the North American Market with the objective to improve working capital and costs. A key role for influencing and driving changes within the collection and dispute process for North America.• Ensure timely handling of customer escalations, partner with global business partners for resolution.• Partner in the collection process when required by the global business partners, sales and our customers.• Be the first point of contact with Sales and Customer groups to drive improved working capital in the clusters.• Proactively drive end to end improvement in customer invoicing processes and quality, including driving efficiencies from EDI and MyFinance usage.• Proactively identify opportunities with customer short payment and rejected disputes to minimize collection roll over.• Responsible for due diligence and risk assessment processes for assigned customer base, including credit approval recommendations in line with corporate credit policies. Identify customer volume changes that might have increased risk. Make recommendation to stakeholders on options.• Use analysis to maintain stable D&D outstanding and drive Demurrage and Detention revenue within assignment.• Collections Process:o Ensure that collection policies and procedures are designed to be efficient and effective and make necessary recommendations for improvemento Evaluate existing technology to ensure that we are using it to fullest potentialo Implement best practices to maximize collectionso Identify obstacles impeding ability to collect timely and proactively seek solutions
