Assisted clients in getting insurance coverage for their pre-natal care and labor and delivery at the birth center. Performed in-services regarding HIPPA, schedule-management, etc. Recorded monthly meeting minutes and participated and problem-solving discussions regarding equipment, marketing, scheduling, staffing and other office-related topics. Performed medical-assistant tasks such as phlebotomy and patient teaching. Managed office staff and created a non-for-profit volunteer Doula Program as well as organized community outreach events.
