I am an innovative leader with 15+ years in education, constantly striving to advance my knowledge and skills to more effectively lead, teach, mentor, and transform civic and community institutions for more significant equity in and access to education. Through my work, I will continue to provide access to quality education for underrepresented students, forever changing the trajectories of their lives. I am skilled in writing curricula, designing programs, advising, teaching, and event planning. Experienced in the fields of education, non-profit management, and advocacy, strong communication skills and attention to detail are my strengths. As a team player, I value collaboration, trust, and building productive relationships. Because of my tireless work, I have been recognized with Xavier University of Louisiana's 40 Under 40 Young Alumni Award, the YWCA Women of Distinction Award, a Trailblazer Award for becoming the first African American Woman to serve on the City Council in the City of Beloit, and most recently was named as one of Wisconsin's Most Influential Black Leaders in 2022.
