About Regina Eddy

I build capacity and develop partnerships to deliver results. As senior food security advisor for Feed the Future, I leverage the knowledge, skill, and passion of others to address poverty and nutritional health. I have developed and coordinated interagency strategies; assembled expert teams to optimize technical support to our field; managed portfolio evidence reviews; and co-led implementation of high-profile dialogue and learning events for POTUS, foreign dignitaries, and stakeholders. Highlights of my accomplishments include:• Co-led implementation of Signature Food Security Event during Obama’s U.S.– Africa Leaders Summit. Coordinated fast-paced, high-pressure/high-accountability event requiring extreme sensitivity to global stakeholders including 75 foreign dignitaries representing 28 countries. Speakers included two foreign Heads of State, two Cabinet Secretaries, and FLOTUS.• Managed annual interagency portfolio reviews for 22 country programs (investing $450 M) to analyze performance against targets, identify issues, and recommend adjustments. For over 25 years, I have partnered with people and communities to advance social and economic justice by working to: invest in jobs, health, and education; protect the environment; and hold governments accountable for addressing the needs of their people. My career has spanned community organizing, direct service delivery, advocacy and electoral campaigns, and international development. I’ve got a fire in my belly for change. I lock on lead indicators. I listen to issues, clarify the problem, and then build alliances to work towards solutions. I love working with others, using solutions that are smart and lasting, to deliver a concrete improvement in people’s lives. To relax, I like to bike, hike, enjoy nature, and cultivate awe.
