Recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award City Council of Oakland unanimously approved street renaming of Regina Jackson WayCertified Executive and Healing Centered Coach*14 months as Interim CEO leading the Center for Environmental Health(CEH), a 6.5 million dollar, national leader in non profit environmental health work.* 27 years leading Oakland’s premiere youth development program, successfully preparing over 30,000 low income youth of color for college and career, while creating a model that has been replicated nationwide.* Grew the organization from 650k and 12 staff to 3.4m and 40+ employees.* Managed the fiscal, administrative, public relations, development, capital and human resource needs of the organization. Developed data driven strategies across all program areas and implemented successful evaluation systems tied to outcomes*Worked closely with both the Board of Trustees and EOYDC’s Community Board. Built and managed a 10m endowment fund*Represented EOYDC with philanthropic, civic and community leaders. Collaborated and developed long-term relationships based on trust and accountability with funders, peer organizations, government officials, experts, celebrities and the media. Raised 30 million dollars during this term. * Presented at national conferences, including TedX, as a keynote speaker or subject matter expert. Gave public testimony to State and the Federal government in support of programs for men and boys of color.Also makes a point to serve whenever she can make a positive difference across the country. In 2020, she completed a 3 year Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Interdisciplinary Research Fellowship working on identifying upstream factors for youth violence. She is a published author, contributing to the fourth edition of “Health and Resilience” and Huffington Post Blogger. Regina is an advisor to several philanthropic, non profit, finance and educational organizations including the Executive Committee of the Tides Network Board, Malcolm and Betty Shabazz Educational and Memorial Center, Restorative Justice for Youth (RJOY) Generation Thrive and the University of California President's Advisory Board. She was appointed by Mayor Schaff to serve on the City of Oakland’s first Police Commission in 2017. Regina was elected Chair of the Police Commission in 2019 and re-elected twice.
