I was appointed to the position of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Director, Field Operations at the Atlanta Field Office in July 2013. In addition to this position, I directed the CBP operational activities at the ports of Atlanta, Charlotte, Charleston, Norfolk, Savannah, New Orleans, Memphis, & Mobile. I also directed the operational duties of The Center of Excellence & Expertise for Consumer Products and Mass Merchandising. I worked cooperatively with the largest consumer product companies within the US. We facilitated the processing of free trade and enforced the trade violations as stipulated in the trade regulations. I have also directed CBP passenger and trade processing at the ports of entry within the Atlanta, New Orleans, New York, and San Francisco Field Offices. I was the CBP Port Director at the area ports of JFK, Philadelphia, & San Francisco Airports. I was appointed to the Senior Executive Service by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Sept. 11, 2011 and have managed operational budgets that have employed 3,000 CBP employees and exceeded $100M in operational costs.I was the Deputy Lead Field Coordinator for FEMA Region 4 and have completed Advanced Incident Command Systems 400 training. I completed two graduate leadership training programs at Harvard and Columbia Universities. I have almost 37 years of government service, 24 of those have been in the managerial ranks of law enforcement.I retired honorably from U.S. Customs and Border Protection after 37 years and seven months of law enforcement and trade experience. My career was a fulfilling endeavor that allowed me to cultivate relationships at the highest levels of CBP’s executive leadership. I seek additional work experiences that will further enhance my distinguished leadership career.In March 2019, I returned to CBP as a Senior Program Manager on a part-time basis to assist in port structure and operations programs. This assignment ended on March 12, 2022.
