About Reginald Washington

I am a growth-oriented executive with extensive experience in medical quality and ethics. I have served as a Trustee on a variety of Boards. To every role, I bring a team-oriented leadership style that embraces diversity and ensures accountability.I along with 12 other physicians founded the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children (RMHC) in 1990. I served as the Chief Medical Officer there and at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center until early 2023. Today I am a National Consultant for HCA offering my expertise in pediatric services to centers across the United States. At RMHC I led advancements to quality, physician satisfaction, and employee engagement. During COVID, I established a Rapid Response Team and became a trusted Media Spokesperson locally and nationally. In 2008 I co-founded the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation to provide support to families whose children were needing care or mothers requiring breast milk for their babies. As a physician and strategic leader I was the Co- Founder and Medical Director of Rocky Mountain Pediatric Cardiology. There I expanded outreach clinics throughout a four-state area.I earned my M.D. in 1977, became Board Certified in Pediatrics in 1980 and Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology in 1981.
