Assigned to the Department of Defense Army Operations Center at the Pentagon, my responsibility is to guide system design and analysis. I provide full oversight for technical operations, implementing system upgrades and changes, configuring hardware and software, correcting errors in the existing system, improving network performance, completing system integrations, and assessing and remediating network capabilities and challenges. I lead and direct a cross-functional team that develops and executes complex business strategies for the government. I support multiple systems. This involves monitoring security logs and configurations with McAfee HBSS, troubleshooting network equipment and software, and managing operating systems, policies, directories and certifications. I also maintain and optimize the system, creating projects and task plans for infrastructure and configurations.★ To ensure each project succeeds, I have created the Standard Operating Procedures, troubleshooting guides and tools. These have increased the effectiveness of all the engineering teams.★ During my daily duties, I utilize ACAS and SCAP to assess IAVA, IAVB and IAVM across the enclave.

My tenure in Datacenter Operations gave me the responsibility of managing and monitoring all software and systems. I directed all strategies and administration to ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability. After completing vulnerability assessments, I monitored critical system changes. I was tasked with setting control protocols and configuring and testing network solutions. ★ Upper management put me in charge of coordinating all technical projects, updating systems with advancements, providing customer support and hands-on troubleshooting, and resolving application program deficiencies and challenges.

In this position, I managed projects for the Department of Defense Army Information Technology Agency at the Pentagon. I created detailed designs, determined scope, identified risk and maintained a thorough knowledge of projects and control systems to apply engineering practices. This allowed me to direct IT change management plans and execute strategies that controlled classified and unclassified domain servers and legacy server information. ★ Plans that I devised and implemented were used to assess and mitigate security vulnerabilities per DISA standards. We scheduled updated and outages to mitigate risks.★ I took charge of compiling data and updating documentation. I was able to identify inefficiencies and discrepancies, so I streamlined processes and developed more accurate and complete reporting for upper management decision-making.

Joining this company, I developed, maintained and supported the technical infrastructure. I oversaw all hardware and system software components, performed installations and troubleshooting. I implemented process changes, and configured hardware to support platforms operating with over 6 million annual customers and associated directories. ★ I was able to create and execute strategies for integrating multiple corporate acquisitions. This involved combining software functionality, IT security, network practices and web content.★ One of my projects was to manage the migration of paper applications, submissions and reviews to a computerized system. In doing this, we streamlined processes and created more accurate documentation control.★ I also enhanced multi-site VLAN online traffic with frame-relay connections, configuring Cisco routers and switches to maximize efficiency.

Overseeing the maintenance, overall performance and availability of the network, I conducted analyses of system and network operations, recommended upgrades and changes, and created functional strategies and objectives to support the infrastructure. ★ I managed multiple mission-critical projects simultaneously, completing them on-schedule and under budget.★ By Planning and allocating resources and funding for a $1Million annual budget, I was able to supervise network administration and operations. I created policies and practices to improve optimization.★ I implemented multiple enhancements to the network functionaility, including the deployment of Blackberry Enterprises Server 4, MS Windows 2000 and 2003, Sendmail and DNS-BIND on Red Hat Linux.
