I was approached to create and take the position of Student Access Coordinator following my first summer with the Office of Residence Life due to my attention to detail. I grant and deny access to JCU students, deal with confidential information, and complete work in a timely manner.

I was offered a position in the office for the school year at the completion of each of my summer roles. I experience administrative duties including answering phone calls and taking messages, responding to emails, printing and copying, and recurrent meetings with supervisors.

I ran daily meetings with a co-leader for the Summer Assistants and Summer Area Coordinator for Camps and Conferences to ensure all tasks were completed or evaluated and updated. I enhanced and expanded upon skills gained as a Summer Assistant through leadership of a team and collaboration with a co-leader.

I worked on a team with three levels of supervision, conducted check-ins and check-outs for conference guests, and was of service to them most hours of the day. I learned to keep a positive attitude, a flexible demeanor, and remain self motivated.

I requested monetary donations for the Carroll Fund that raises money for financial aid and merit scholarships and, therefore, was trusted with confidential information. I learned dependability, perseverance, and patience as the first line of representation for JCU.
