PAYS is a residential summer program for high-achieving high school students from the community around Pomona College. Its purpose is to prepare students for admissions to and success in college, from groups that are usually underrepresented in higher education. This includes first generation and/or low-income students. Responsibilities included:• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of PAYS participants when they are in the residence hall• Mentor, engage, and socialize with a diversity of students• Planning and preparing for weekly field trips and evening activities• Lead a self-designed course twice a week
