The environments and buildings in which we live, work, study and spend our time have the potential to act as powerful tools in health prevention. My research focuses on how climate and indoor environmental parameters shape our health, performance and well-being, from air quality to food availability and light exposure. Working in private, academic and non-profit sectors for over a 15 years, I have extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams to conduct primary and secondary research; developing health and wellness strategies for organizations in commercial, residential, educational and defense sectors; implementing indoor environmental quality monitoring and improvement programs across city districts, and positioning companies as industry leaders through innovative solutions and scientific rigor.I hold a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Columbia University, where my thesis research on prenatal diets and maternal and child health outcomes served as a basis for a book I ghost-wrote on prenatal nutrition. Prior to my graduate studies, I worked on a nationwide study at the Research Foundation for SUNY, examining brain information processing in individuals with substance abuse. I earned my Bachelor of Biology at Bard College, where I was a Distinguished Scientist Scholar, conducting research on the relationship of an invasive plant species and soil microbiome.
