— Providing tutoring to students in open lab/self-paced settings including clarification of course assignments, lectures, and tests.— Working with students individually or in small groups to select and use resource material and/or lab equipment appropriately.— Helping Learning Commons staff plan tutor training every semester and lead training sessions as needed.— Providing input in developing and maintaining materials needed to demonstrate learning objective for Learning Commons in tutoring environment.— Assisting Learning Commons team with maintaining detailed student records; monitoring, inputting and analyzing data related to student attendance, persistence, retention, and satisfaction.— Serving as a liaison between the Math Lab and UNT Dallas academic community (faculty and staff) by reaching out to faculty and gathering class information, syllabi, expectations, etc.; keeping instructors informed of the type of tutorial assistance his/her student received while in the center and sending reports of the sessions when necessary.— Organizing and developing reference material (handouts, workshops, custom workshops, videos, audio information, etc.) for math tutoring and the UNT Dallas community.— Helping promote math tutoring and services offered by developing positive relationships with campus community, developing marketing information, updating social media outlets, delivering presentations and classroom workshops around campus.— Assisting the Learning Commons Coordinator with other tasks as assigned (typing, emailing, answering phone, etc.).— Assisting with additional duties as needed, such as exam preparation, covering front desk, answering phones, organizing materials, scheduling appointments, etc.— Attending training sessions (bi-monthly or weekly; TBA by Learning Commons Coordinator).
