Gained BSc (Hons) and PhD at UMIST (under Prof. Bob Ramage), followed by postdoc experience at Oxford and Exeter Universities working on amino acids and peptides with Dr. Geoffrey Young then Dr. David Crout. I took a short postdoc position with Parke-Davis in Cambridge prior to accepting a full-time position with them. Rose to Team Leader, member of the Senior Management Team and co-chairman of 2 drug discovery teams. Co-authored numerous scientific papers and patents as well as scientific reviews. Was an external referee for Elsevier and other chemistry journals.Moved into business management with Biodoc followed by a short period at Chemical Design as product manager.Joined ChemBridge in 1998 as their European Marketing Consultant before becoming Head of Business Development with ProCitius Research in 2007 before rebuilding the ChemBridge consultancy in 2009. I am a co-author of an RSC book on chemical diversity issued in 2006 and one issued by Wiley in 2014.Specialties: Building, rebuilding and developing business relationships & partnerships. I'm a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) as well as holding Chartered Chemist (CChem) and Chartered Scientist (CSci) designations.More recently I've started to expand my hobby of music photography and have set up RSR-Photography (RSR is RockStarsRising as well as my initials!) photographing bands live on stage around the UK and occasionally in mainland Europe.
