Als UX Specialist werk ik aan onderzoek, analyse, ontwerp en validatie binnen het Programma Emma. Ik werk onder andere aan het digitaliseren van het DSR - ZSM traject en aan het zaaksysteem welke OM-medewerkers gebruiken om strafzaken digitaal te registreren, te beoordelen en te behandelen.

Als UX Designer en UX Researcher maak ik me sterk voor het Algoritmeregister van de Nederlandse overheid. Dit in opdracht van het Ministerie van BZK. In het Algoritmeregister staat informatie over algoritmes die de overheid gebruikt. Zo is deze informatie vindbaar en beschikbaar voor burgers, hun belangenbehartigers, de media, professionals en de toezichthouder.Zie algoritmes.overheid.nl.Ik doe onderzoek naar de verschillende gebruikersgroepen, ik onderhoud contact met de community en ik leg bij alles wat ik doe de link tussen het ontwikkelteam en het projectteam. Daar zet ik mijn UX Design vaardigheden bij in, zodat het Algoritmeregister steeds functioneel beter wordt - en deze veel meerwaarde biedt voor de gebruikers van het Algoritmeregister.

Bij IVO Rechtspraak werk ik mee aan de doorontwikkeling van de applicatie DIVOS.Deze applicatie maakt het mogelijk voor rechters, raadsheren en juridisch medewerkers op de Nederlandse rechtbanken en gerechtshoven om zittingen digitaal voor te bereiden. DIVOS is een dossierviewer binnen een keten van partijen (denk aan Openbaar Ministerie, Politie en Advocaten) en veel van mijn werkzaamheden hebben met de keten te maken aangezien dossiers en data door de keten gedeeld worden. Ook is er een Adviesraad voor DIVOS en draag ik mijn steentje bij door mee te denken over het doorontwikkelen van DIVOS, en de vertaalslag te maken tussen eindgebruikers en het DIVOS ontwikkelteam. DIVOS is voor het rechtsgebied Straf.

I was part of the temporary internal development team at Online Advies, DPC. we developed various appliations: De Mediatheek, Het Websiteregister, Filtertools / Live events and Toegangsbeheer (2fa).All Ministries and other governmental parties use De Mediatheek for finding, sharing and using images, videos and audio for all channels of communication. The Mediatheek project was about the further development of the Mediatheek, using User Centered Design. For this we avarranged 3-weekly validation sessions, usability research, design studios and workshops.Oneother project we workedon was Filtertools, a type of Contenttools. TheFiltertools application is a cms for internal employees, and makes it possible to create a filtertool per life event. Citizens of Holland can fill in a few questions at www.rijksoverheid.nl and then find out what they have to do, when faced with a life event like getting married or when retiring. As a multidisciplinary team we work by agile principles, using the SCRUM method.

The AERIUS Calculation tool is part of the Integrated Approach to nitrogen (PAS: Programmatische Aanpas Stikstof). It calculates the level of nitrogen deposition in Natura 2000 areas, caused by projects and development plans. Next to AERIUS Calculator there are AERIUS Monitor, AERIUS Register and AERIUS Connect, these support the issuing of permits for economic activities as well as monitoring and registrating the nitrogen burden - all tools are GIS-based. Within the AERIUS Team I researched the user & business requirements, the information flows and the processes within the monitoring of nitrogen burden. This was done by organising workshops and by translating requirements into user stories. I formed a connection between various user groups and the development team, I answered questions of all parties and I made sure all user requirements were heard. The AERIUS team worked with sprints of four weeks in a scrum based environment, which was a great way to work together with motivated and specialised colleagues in a multidisciplinary team.

As usability specialist I've written an usability expert review for www.emissieregistratie.nl. Based on the findings I've created a user interface re-design for the website and the database GIS system on emissions.
