I began my IT career in the 1980s, two years after my graduation in Mechanical Engineering. IT was not a full-fledged discipline at that time, At schools - it was taught under Electrical engineering, at work - it was managed under Finance. I chose IT because it allowed me to be creative and innovative. I could create my own products and test them in real business world (a.k.a. system design and development). I did not know that one day you can work in IT from anywhere ... yes, my vision was not that stretched. At that time there was no WiFi and IBM PC XT was a newbie ... laptops and PDAs were not even born.Since then, I have worked in multiple the IT domains ranging from Managing landscape (LAN, WAN, Voice, Datacentres), Building applications (in-house development, ERP implementation), Leading Projects to Re-engineering & automating work processes.
