I believe everyone deserves to be happy, and I've had my own challenges with this. Healing my trauma allowed me to finally let go of all the heaviness, and I'm now living a life I never dreamed would be possible. I'm Rehmat, AKA The Trauma Alchemist.My background is in media as a multi award-winning film director, and back in 2018 I was invited to design + deliver creative workshops for struggling young people. The project was hugely successful as a mental health intervention, my organisation became an NHS partner and I studied my first trauma training. This training triggered me to my core; I had lived with low mood since I could remember, but was totally unaware of my trauma and the way I was recreating it daily. I spent years working with various therapists, until I came across energetic trauma healing practices such as breathwork, womxns' circles, plant medicine and energy healing. I went from feeling heavy and stuck to vibrant, light, free and truly joyful.
