I assembled a team of 6 junior engineers and led them in building a scalable configuration system, customer support tools and a continuous delivery system. I acted as Product Owner, Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Technical Lead and Manager at various times. In addition to our development duties, we handled all software deployments and product support.

I briefly led the engineering team as it adopted Agile techniques and the SCRUM management framework. As scalability concerns mounted, I opted to let another competent manager lead engineering while I focused on clearing up technical debt so as to increase velocity for the overall team.

As the first employee at Doyenz I was tasked with many things and wore many hats. I set up the initial networks and development environments, worked with customers to extract initial requirements, trained business development people on the technical aspects of the product, wrote a large proportion of the code and managed the engineering process.

In this unpaid, startup position, I created the foundational patent and architecture for ACSI's technology which pertains to computer systems security and in particular intrusion detection and tracking.

I contracted with AutoESL to provide software design and development expertise with the LLVM Compiler Toolkit. This work involved enhancing LLVM to permit integer arithmetic on arbitrarily sized integers. This was needed by AutoESL to assist in the automated optimization of their product's design output.

Lead a team of 5 developing a state of the art global messaging system for Warburg/Swiss Bank.

Built a state-of-the-art object-oriented database system to complement NNG's move to client/server systems from mainframe.

I implemented a variety of fundamental libraries and tools including YaML (Yet Another Modeling Language) for conversion of model specifications into C++ classes and SQL queries. I also provided an implementation of the CatastropheHandler which dealt with exceptions in C++ and Objective-C.
