I take time developing storylines, supporting the evolution of in-depth guides, and teasing out nuances to flavor each piece to be more potent and nuanced while staying true to brand voices.(Think of me as a gardener. Having worked with some clients for years, their style, voice, and persona fit my own like a well-worn glove. At the same time, new clients always excite me. It rarely takes long for me to feel at home in a new voice! I am great with customer service and approach conflicts as misunderstandings, usually bringing laughter into the solution.I pour my heart and soul into everything I do and let my passion to connect with people drive me. As an editor and leader, I believe it’s my job to fight the overly competitive and unhealthy relationships so often built between writers and editors. My duty is to do writers justice by helping to share their perspectives, warmth, and concerns. My goal is to anchor teams in constructive idea generation and refinement throughout the creative process.There is an art to editing without leaving fingerprints behind. After all, you shouldn’t be able to tell who did the editing (only the writing). That’s why I strive to bring my invisible ink pen to edit every day.Don’t let my age fool you! I started tutoring and editing in elementary school, giving me a chance to refine my skills through peer support long before I took my first job. With a business under my belt, I am more experienced than many of my peers and comfortable with a seat at the table.When I am not reading, writing, or editing, you can find me looking for new ways to build community, whether that’s through educating others on end-of-life services as a death doula or connecting people with volunteer opportunities.
