    I technically coordinate an expert team to develop a proposal for a Resilient Agri-Food Systems Program in the Andean region of South America. The main objective is to strengthen agri-food systems in Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru to address the challenges of climate change. We will collaborate with a consortium consisting of at least one university and one research center in each country, which will be strengthened to tackle climate change challenges in the Andean region. The focus will be on using 15 varieties of nine strategic crops: potatoes, wheat, corn, peanuts, amaranth, cañahua, quinoa, tarwi, and chili pepper, within agroecological systems shared by the three Andean countries.

    I was responsible for monitoring and evaluating the ‘Creating Resources for Peace’ project (CREES-PAZ), emphasizing influencing the socio-emotional skills of children, adolescents, and youth so that they become agents of change within their communities for a Culture of Peace. This not only includes inclusion but also managing conflicts with humans, other living beings, and the environment in universal harmony. One of the major responsibilities was collaborating on a pilot project between the PIASE team and New York University to adapt a horizontal and objective mentoring system for secondary school teachers in Nicaragua to enhance educational quality (the English acronym for the system created by UNY researchers is TIPPS). It was implemented in 39 schools across Nicaragua.
