The last years I worked on cross cutting issues in water, energy and agriculture as institutional coordination and governance, policy and strategies alignment and promotion of multipurpose infrastructure. By coordinating the Nexus regional programme and collaborating with the United Nations I got experience in policy formulation in several countries in Latin America through implementation with national agencies. After working with BMZ and EU and in partnership with development banks, I have learned that breaking sectorial silos and considering a systemic perspective for approaching actual challenges are key requirements for the implementation of international agendas (2030 Agenda and Paris Agreement). Countries require support to deal with interactions that address complementary and competing needs in a set of goals. For this, partnerships are required. I supported the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energy through dialogues and network with relevant regional and international stakeholders. To accomplish with this job, my former technical expertise on environmental planning and management, sustainability evaluation, water strategies management was very useful. In resume, about 3 year experience in Latin America, 4 years experience with the mining and energy sector in Chile and 6 years experience with Dutch national and provincial government agencies. I hold a master`s degree in Energy and Environmental Sciences from the University of Groningen and bachelor`s degrees in environmental engineering and industrial engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.
