Plans and organises assignments for personnel, allocates resources, and communicates with external vendors to support non-routine and routine maintenance for two fleets of aircraft within the allocated time to meet mandated government outputs. Oversees regular maintenance and issue of the certification of routine and non-routine maintenance for the C-130 and Boeing 757 aircrafts. Ensures that all team members are physically, mentally, and technically able to carry out their roles by guiding them through the various processes and technical issues. Liaises with technical teams through verbal or written instructions to suggest the most effective and safest method to return an aircraft to service; writes detailed instructions and accurate technical documentation, reducing turnaround times.

Developed strong camaraderie with key personnel, achieving shortened waiting times for components requiring maintenance. Wrote a technical repair management guide for multiple components in various aircraft fleets, which included conducting research and work scoping of components to ensure repairs complied with technical procedures and company standards. Mentored junior personnel to be more effective and proactive in their assigned positions, increasing effectiveness and efficiency within the team.

Coached instructors participating in Operation Tangata Kanorau and encouraged personnel to improve strategies when necessary, resulting in the program being engaged and presently operating at double its starting capacity: Fostered continuous and strong relationships with key decision makers from external departments, such as tech-based companies and members of Parliament, which helped grow Operation Tangata Kanorau.Key Achievements: Spearheaded and developed a complete technical prospectus for Operation Tangata Kanorau, including a detailed description of volunteers’ roles as well as the various resources required to successfully run the operation. Created the risk management plan for Operation Tangata Kanorau, applying mitigation and elimination strategies to ensure all participants were protected and protective equipment was provided, resulting in all activities having zero incidence.
