CurrentI am an Officer and Ambassador of Eyesea, a nonprofit organization with a mission to map global pollution and maritime hazards. Without proper data – what and where it is – effective solutions are hard to find. In 2020 we developed the concept of using geotagged pictures to chart maritime pollution. Eyesea uses app based technology and with the support of many seafarers, ship owners, managers and maritime professionals, we are able to collect and process data.
