Constructive Collaboration are a group breaking new ground on the development of methods and tools that create and maintain high performing team collaboration in complex environments. The initiative is an outcome of a collaboration between leading clients, consultants, constructors and institutions in the building industry. As a founding member of the Core Team, I led the development of the tools, in particular data analytics, user interface and user experience. As a Senior Advisor, I contribute to long term development of the algorithm and associated data strategy. Andrew Wright Associates (AWA) coordinate the work and a range of over sixty leading organisations are inputting and collaborating on the project. The methods are being deployed by AWA across a range of Early Adopters on current major projects for leading clients.

On a freelance basis, I helped Real Estate Developers with their Net-Zero Carbon Strategy, trained architects and engineers in Environmental Design, software startups with their MVPs, and facilitated leadership sessions for companies in the sustainability space.

My current work focuses on daylight and lighting design, and integrating the two as closely as possible in design (through advanced simulation and visualisation tools) and in operation (through on-site commissioning and monitoring). I also work more broadly to help define the future of design, construction and operation.

As part of the Specialist Modelling Group (SMG) at Foster + Partners, my goal is to push what’s possible in design, through better use of the environment, technology and collaboration.

As an environmental & computational designer focused on envelope & facade optimisation, I developed custom analyses and tools enabling early feedback in an integrated manner. Focus lay with early geometry exploration and navigating trade-offs between energy performance, daylighting performance, code compliance and cost. Key tools used: Grasshopper, Python, Radiance, IES VE. As Head of Advanced Building Physics, I was responsible for developing and rolling out new environmental design workflows. Under my guidance, the office adopted Rhino and Grasshopper, which significantly improved collaboration with architects and reduced turnaround times from weeks to days. I developed training sessions, gave guest lectures at Cambridge University and other universities, and spoke at the Radiance Conference and DIVA Day.

Provided Teylers Museum with advice on their daylighting strategy, balancing trade-offs between viewer experience and conservation. Rendered multiple real-life scenarios to enable full understanding.

Worked on a range of projects: from corporate portfolio strategy at multiple international banks, to implementation of an enterprise IT strategy, development of sales force effectiveness strategies and cost reduction implementation. Learned how to test and implement data science together with a bank's business intelligence department. As office contribution, I developed Excel trainings and internal office tools, and I sang in the band at our Christmas party.

Worked on a semiconductor company's manufacturing strategy. In a team of six, I took the work stream of supplier strategy and market analysis for possible new products.

Designed, set up and conducted studying the effects of wind profiles and turbulence on the refraction of aircraft noise.
