I worked on their dashboard app that allows parties involved - investors, experts, specialists,users, co-founders and admin - to engage With and develop approved ideas into new companies.Most work I did here was on the back-end part of it which is a private repository because it contains the business logic. Here I implemented the new co-founder role, a bidding system and a crowd rating system.Learning Goals:- Work on a pre-existing codebase and learn new technologies (TypeORM, Styled Components) onthe we go. while further developing our skills in the technologies we've already karned (see belch"for all technologies used)- Experience working on a real-world project With an client/product owner- Practice using agile methodologies in a scrum setup to efficiently work and communicate withteam mates- Plan our work realistically to be able to deliver each part on time- Gain more experience working with version control and github collaboration. reviewing eachothers pull requests solving merging conflicts.We were presented with 4 user stories and a short list of •nice-to-haves" and given just two weeksto get accustomed with the code and technologies used and to deliver a new set of featuresimplemented and deploy-able.Due to the circumstances during COVID-19 outbreak we found ourselves working remotely withteammates we previously' never met in person. We had to rely on Zoom and Discord for our dailystandups and put extra attention in communicating our progress. This is where our kanban projectbecame really useful allowing us to track our progress and plan towards a deploy-able MVP.Despite challenges had a lot of fun working on this project and managed to deliver all featuresrequested in the user stories.Technologies used:Client: React.js, React hooks, Emotion CSS, Material simple-react-validator, cloudinary-reactreact pdfServer: TypeScript TypeORM. After doing this for 1 year, they assigned me to outages which kept comingback unsolved. That was the moment I realized that I have a true passion for solving complexproblems.
