My work is focused on the sorption phenomena that impact the chromatographic purification of phytochemicals from biomass. Additionally, I am continuing my studies in circular economy.

EcoIT specializes in the lifecycle management of ICT hardware, with a strong emphasis on secure data recycling.In my role as a business development consultant, I focus on enhancing our existing services and evaluating new business opportunities. One of my primary objectives is to ensure that we offer well-documented, high-value service packages to our clients. These packages encompass secure in-house hardware life extension, as well as secure reuse and recycling of ICT equipment. Additionally, I serve as a sustainability expert.Extending the lifespan of ICT equipment, along with cycling, recycling, and upcycling, significantly contributes to sustainability and generates new business opportunities in ICT management.

I completed a six-month Circular Economy Expert Training Course for academics at the University of Tampere’s Continuous Education program.The course covered both theoretical and practical aspects of implementing circular economy principles across various technical, economic, and political contexts.My favorite topics included the EU framework, bioplastics, plastics recycling, competitor collaboration, PESTEL analysis, process and service models, and the practical application of the waste hierarchy.As part of this training, I undertook a three-month project on bioplastics at the Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes).

I served as a senior officer on biocides in a project addressing registration issues related to in situ oxidizing biocides.

I worked as a Substance Manager for substance evaluation and as a Scientific Officer for dossier evaluation. Additionally, I served as a Quality Assurance Officer and am well-versed in the ISO 9001 quality management system utilized by ECHA.ECHA oversees the registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction processes for chemical substances to ensure consistency across the European Union. These REACH processes are designed to provide additional information on chemicals, ensure their safe use, and maintain the competitiveness of the European industry.

I was responsible for new customer sales contracts and served as a Key Account Manager for ICT-related scientific services, particularly for Finnish universities, polytechnics, and research institutes. Additionally, I acted as a Training Coordinator, overseeing the training programs provided by CSC to external customers.CSC, governed by the Ministry of Education, is Finland’s IT center for science. It offers modeling, computing, and information services to universities, polytechnics, research institutions, and industrial companies. CSC also maintains Funet communication links, providing researchers with Finland’s most extensive selection of scientific software and databases, as well as the country’s most powerful supercomputing environment.

As a Project Manager, I oversaw an organic chemistry laboratory and led a team of five, specializing in carbohydrate-related synthetic organic chemistry. Our work focused on synthesizing new model compounds. We developed some new and innovative synthetic methods.
