I am an experienced law enforcement professional with over 20 years of progressive responsibility. I serve as a master police officer at the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) Police Department. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University. In addition, I hold a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a graduate certificate in Criminal Justice Education from East Carolina University. Furthermore, I earned an Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate from the NC Department of Justice, as well as general and specialized instructor certifications in explosives and hazardous materials. I have had extensive executive-level leadership training through the Administrative Officers Management Program (AOMP) at North Carolina State University and the Management Essentials Program at Developmental Associates Inc. I have hands-on experience researching and implementing the tenets of community policing in a culturally-diverse workplace environment. I am also certified as a Master Trainer by the National Threat Evaluation and Reporting Office. I pride myself on being a goal-oriented team leader driven to achieve observable and measurable results. I make confident decisions based upon empirical data and unyielding ethical standards. I enjoy collaborating with others for solutions even under contentious circumstances. I embrace diversity and treat others with due respect as I would want to be treated. I want to excite and motivate my team to achieve a continual state of security, safety, and preparedness at RDU Airport.
