Profile bio

About Bekah Mcintyre

I am a licensed clinical social worker, change leader, and advocate who values collaborative thinking and problem-solving. I recognize the importance of engaging people in the change process to make change successful. I am passionate about equity and diversity in all aspects of an agency's culture to create an environment people want to be a part of.I have experience working within many populations in many service fields as a mental health clinician and director including children's mental and behavioral health, juvenile corrections, adult developmental disabilities and autism, adult mental health, therapeutic recreation, traumatic brain injury, substance use, youth & adult residential care, outpatient therapy, and healthcare administration. I have used this diversified knowledge base in a variety of ways and am always looking for new opportunities to apply my skills.I have watched too many agencies attempt penny pinching maneuvers which do not result in large budget gains nor long term impacts. I help leadership focus on efficiency, growth, and sustainability. I believe that investing in people is one of the best things we can do because we know that the cost of turnover in an agency where people are our product is detrimental to budget neutrality never mind growth. I believe getting supervisors and managers invested in their program in this way increases their ownership and drive to collaborate in change.Areas of expertise: Gender expansive care and advocacy, MaineCare regulations, team problem solving, program evaluation, strategic and operations planning, training development and facilitation, leadership and team building, evidence-based clinical interventions, management training, community networking, and clinical supervision.

Listed skills include Written And Oral Communication, Supervisory Skills, Program Management, Organizing, and 27 others.
