During my graduation I created a new UI and management tool for Video Servers delivering content over IP and DVB. This is over 20 years ago and my career has ever since been focussed on the Media & Entertainment industry.In a nutshell I've managed the following responsibilities:- Professional Services Consultant for Video Playout solutions for DVB and IP in EMEA- Integration Test Lab Consultant for assisting customers with UPC / Liberty Global Cable and IP Video and Middleware platform- Pre-sales & Delivery for high performance Video Server platforms and Middleware solution in EMEA- Director of Technical Sales for Search & Recommendations, Middleware platforms, Voice based Search & Navigation- Customer Solutions and Project Manager for Content Delivery Network and Cloud Compute at the ISP EdgeAll my roles involve Customer Engagement and building solid relationships with a focus on either partnerships or building and selling complex solutions.I'm the main point of contact for customers to enquire about all technical matters and as such I'm the link between the customer on one side and the product, R&D, Operations and planning for the company on the other side.I enjoy working with the different teams in an organisation and creating mutual respect to achieve the maximum possible with a positive approach even in difficult situations.- I have successfully completed technical tracks to sell Video Servers, Middleware platforms to ISPs in EMEA. I've built demos and booths for trade shows and trained the staff. - I've trained partners on products, architectures and scaling solutions. I've designed, deployed and been responsible for project management of edge CDNs at Tier-1 operators such as Vodafone and Telefonica. - I recently completed a complex integration project between two CDNs allowing one of the biggest OTT platforms to utilise a more distributed federated CDN to deliver its content.A selection of partners and customer ISPs that I work(ed) with are Liberty Global, Virgin Media, Telenor, Vodafone Global and variety of Opcos, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telekom, A1, Netia, Sky UK & Italy, Fastweb and Telefonica.Besides work I enjoy my family, my wife, son and daughter. I love the outdoors, hiking and biking and last but not least great food and wine.
