Result: So far Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Nijmegen, Groningen, Arnhem and Hengelo joined the ICAN Cities Appeal. ▪Lobby and advocacy: Monitored relevant political developments in Dutch parliament in the field of nuclear disarmament and identified advocacy opportunities. Conducted stakeholder analysis and wrote policy briefs and input for parliamentary motions and questions. ▪Project coordination: coordinated project ’75 years Hiroshima and Nagasaki’ in which >60 local volunteers in 10 Dutch cities organized events. Coordinated, supported and motivated volunteers developed (social) media strategy, prepared and facilitated meetings and evaluated the project. ▪(External) communication: built and maintaned relationships of PAX with Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dutch members of parliament, PAX supporters and other national and international NGO’s.▪(Online) communication: wrote blogs for nonukes.nl and maintained social media channels of PAX and the PAX NoNukes project.▪Research: co-authored PAX rapport on opportunities for Dutch government to contribute to a nuclear free world and wrote factsheet on modernization of US nuclear bombs stationed in the Netherlands

Improved organizational information sharing by developing an Intranet page with an easily accessible overview of external communications. ▪Research support: supported colleagues from different program teams with research on various topics.

Requesting and compiling input from policy officers, ensuring timely delivery under high pressure and adjusting to last-minute changes.▪Monitoring and evaluation: evaluated the progress of government funded foreign projects and reported conclusions in a structured way.▪Drafted politically sensitive documents: analyzed information and political risks for the Minister, summarized most important information and made sure documents were delivered on time and in the right format to high level government representatives and the Minister.▪Knowledge of government structures and processes: quickly gained knowledge of government structures and processes.

Summarized these reports for the West Africa Early Warning and Early Response Network (WARN).▪Conducted field research in rural village (grade 8/10).WANEP is a regional peacebuilding organisation with strong networks in all the 15 ECOWAS member states In Western Africa. The Gambian chapter works together with 30 society organisations spread across the country. They are active in the field of peace education, early warning and early response and peacebuilding monitoring and evaluation.

▪Fundraising: raised €27.000 for a vocational training project in Mauritania by organizing actions and activities.▪Financial administration: responsible for the financial administration. Improved the transparency by inventing a new accountancy system in Microsoft Excel.▪Travel: drove with a team of 6 from the Netherlands to the Gambia by car in order to draw attention to the project and adapted a flexible attitude in order to deal with difficulties on the way.
